On offer today is a fine, charismatic automatic GMT from zaratsu masters - The Grand Seiko Elegance GMT reference SBGM221, featuring a ivory cream tone dial.
While seemingly ordinary - this GMT is nothing short of exceptional; the Panna-Cotta toned Ivory dial adding heaps of chracter. While most GMT’s take a sports watch approach with a bezel - this SBGM incorporates the 24 hour scale neatly tucked below the indexes.
The movement is a marvel too - holding a true-GMT compilation & adding in a ample 72 hours of power reserve; it is finely decorated with Tokyo Stripes - And lets not forget the notorious Zaratsu finish applied on the sharp case flanks.
This particular example is dated to 2020 and is accompanied with its complete double box, booklets, papers, leather holder, hangtag, original strap & aftermarket crocodile strap (on the watch). While the watch head is in excellent condition with surface wear, the original strap has damage at the tip.
