You either love it or hate it. Hailing from Florence in 1860, Giovanni Panerai found his start with pocket watches & instruments with the Italian Royal Navy - a fitting origin to the manufacturer gracing the most badass of wrists.
This particular Panerai is no ordinary Luminor - this is the 10 days GMT featuring the curvaceous 1950 case; the reference Pam 270. Being the perfect blend of rich heritage & futuristic innovation - this reference combines the vintage domed-crystal, sandwich dial aesthetic & high-tech In-house 10 days power reserve; talk about a belter of a timepiece!
Presented in the classic 44mm 1950 cushion-case - it would be lie to say it’s a small timepiece; however for a timepiece of it’s stature it balances pretty well. The calibre P-2003 is a truly innovative marvel; featuring a plethora of complication from a 12-hour GMT with Am/Pm indicators, zero-reset stop seconds & 3 mainspring barrels for a 10 days power reserve. It’s really something else tech-wise.
Dated to 2010 & presented in very good condition with minor wear marks visible, this Pam 270 is accompanied with it’s box, booklets, papers, purchase invoice, screwdriver, strap change tool & unworn OEM crocodile strap - and have I mention it runs for 10 days on a full wind?
