On offer today is a legendary motorsports chronograph from Chopard; the original Mille Miglia classic chronograph - Ref 8331.
A tribute to the prestigious Mille Miglia open-road concourse, this reference 8331 features a plethora of automotive inspired elements; from the Km/h tachymeter to the gauge inspired subdials - and the ever iconic Red ‘1000 Miglia’ racing tag at 3. The crown also features the ‘L.U.C’ logo, a nod to Chopard’s watchmaking heritage.
Being one of my favourite references automotive chronographs, the 8331 is presented in a compact 39mm; with the smooth bezel proportioned smaller in a way it creates a ‘Stepped’ appeal on the case-flank.
Being an neo-vintage example, this 8331 features slightly creamy sub-dial rings as well as minor wear on the hands visible only under strong lighting, it features minor surface level wear & presents in ‘Excellent’ condition. Sold as head only on a black alligator strap & circa early 2000’s.
