On offer today is a fine, unique & haute sports timepiece from Audemars Piguet, the Royal Oak offshore ref 25940SK ‘Silver Rubberclad’.
Being part of the early 2000’s obsession with oversized timepieces, the offshore features a 42mm case stature that certainly wears larger - with the legendary octagonal bezel made of rubber; hence earning the ‘Rubberclad’ moniker.
However, while most Rubberclad offshores feature a black dial, this variant features the rarer silver dial treated with the iconic Mega-tappiserie pattern; adding a stark contrast with the matte black bezel
This particular example of Silver rubberclad is dated to 2011 & accompanied with its complete box & papers. It is presented in very good condtion, with its sharp chamfers & crisp brushing present; and the bezel is intact & in good shape as well.
However there are minor signs of wear including surface scratches & dings present on the case.
